Telephone interpreting is useful for short or informal situations where a language barrier may exist. Our team of dedicated and trusted telephone interpreters offer critical support to both public and private sector clients with their language needs. An interpreter will liaise between two people and translate between the two parties.
Most telephone interpreting is done ‘consecutively’, meaning one person speaks, stops, waits for the translation and then carries on. As communication technology develops more ‘simultaneous’ telephone interpreting will emerge. |

Sign Language interpreting is the means of passing messages between hearing and hard of hearing people, through a variety of ways; which include using different hand shapes and movements, facial expressions, lip pattern’s, upper-body and head movement.
As well as translating the meaning of the words, professional interpreters transfer the real meaning and feeling with its own grammar and syntax.
A BSL Interpreter has to undertake years of study to hold a minimum of CACDP (Council for Advancement Communication with Deaf People) stage 4 and either be a member of the registration sign language interpreters or registered sign language interpreter.
All our interpreters are fully qualified and registered with ASLI (Association of Sign Language Interpreters) and CACDP (Council of Advancement of Communication with Deaf People) Members of ASLI are required to sign an oath to uphold the code of professional conduct and ethos of the association as part of their commitment to the profession.
Our interpreters are minimum level 4 (Advanced) qualified with at least 5 to 8 years of experience working as an interpreter. A large percentage of interpreters hold a B.A (Bachelors of Art) or a M.A (Masters of Art) in sign language interpreting.
They have experience working in NHS, Job Centres, Training Courses, Colleges, Universities, Job Interviews, Disability Centres, Banks, Building Societies, DSS, RNID etc. |
